This Argentium Silver heavy-wall tubing is suitable for creating tube settings for round gemstones. Use a burr to cut a seat in the end of the tube.
2.56mm OD, wall thickness 0.5mm, to suit 2mm stone.
3.56mm OD, wall thickness 0.5mm, to suit 3mm stone.
4.57mm OD, wall thickness 0.5mm, to suit 4mm stone.
6.68mm OD, wall thickness 0.64mm, to suit 6mm stone.
The manufacturer also suggests using tubing to make hinges. The smaller sizes would be suitable for trinket boxes, lockets and bracelets, but the largest size tube? I think it would be suitable for making door or gate hinges. Argentium silver door and gate hinges - how would that be for a status symbol?
