This Argentium Silver heavy-wall tubing is suitable for creating tube settings for round gemstones. Use a burr to cut a seat in the end of the tube. This size tube fits a 6mm stone.
The manufacturer also suggests using tubing to make hinges. The smaller sizes would be suitable for trinket boxes, lockets and bracelets, but this size tube? I think would be suitable for making door or gate hinges. Argentium silver door and gate hinges - how would that be for a status symbol? We would be happy to help with supplies!
